One of my students wrote this.......

The Key to My Heart

I once had a key that locked my heart.
But that was a long time ago.
The girl that had it left me,
and she let my key go.
Years past, and I found a girl,
Who was beautiful, kind, and smart.
I loved her and cherished her,
And I thought no one could tear us apart.
Later on I found out that the key that she has wasn't mine.
She did the same as the last girl.... she left me behind.
But still I wonder if she does have my key.
Maybe I made a mistake but I was too blind to see.
But I'm still searching hard, high, and low
For somebody who can keep the key to my heart
And Won't let it go.

Well, school is out....... I have officially made it through  my first semester of teaching..... Let me just say it has been interesting so far.  I have loved it most days, yet hated some parts of those days. The students have been interesting to get to know more each day.  Sometimes I think how did I become a teacher. How did I make it through to become a teacher? Am I really that old already? Yes, before you comment I know I am not that old, but still. Having a job and teaching students makes me feel old sometimes even though some of my students are only 5 years younger than I am.  Now that is definitely weird to think about in class.  I have students 5 years younger than I am.  I was a senior in high school while they were in 8th grade... Weird.....

Anyways, enough of my random thoughts...

Merry CHRISTMAS

Happy New Year  2007
